Rooms & Rates

There are seven guest rooms in the house.

Following upgrades in 2017 all bedrooms in the main house now have a private bathroom or shower room. Six out of seven bathrooms are ensuite to the bedroom. The shower room for the Le Morne room is across the corridor for the room, but is dedicated to that room and not shared.

Top floor rooms:

Room 1. The “Rhosneigr room”: Queen bed; sea view; full bathroom.

Rooms 2 & 3: The “Cabarete Room” and “Le Morne”: Each room has two single beds (they can be put together). The rooms have a sea view. Each has its own shower room/WC.

Room 4: The “Cauipe” room. Two single beds (cannot be put together). This has a view to the side. This room has its own shower room/WC.

Garden level:

Room 5: The Squamish Room: 1 King bed. Shower room/WC. Office nook (note view is from bedroom to office and from office to garden).

Room 6: The “Woodman’s Room”: 3 single beds (two can be put together). Shower room/WC.

Room 7: The “Annex”. This is our hostel-type room. It has 3 single beds. First priority in this room is given to team riders / sponsored riders / those in Cape Town for an extended stay.

Booking notes

Please note when booking flights that we try to avoid checkins/checkouts on Sundays and public holidays (e.g. Christmas Day, New Year’s Day).

In season (mid Nov – mid March) the Club’s focus is on providing accommodation for kitesurfers, windsurfers, surfers; other sportspeople; and +1s.

Out of season we are happy to accommodate other guests.

The Club is not suitable for under 16’s unless a group book out the entire property together. If you wish to arrange something like this please enquire well in advance.

The Club is self-catering but coffee and tea are available throughout the day “on the house” and Garey will put out his legendary muffins most days.

About once a week we have a “braai night” when we light the BBQ and sit down to eat together. Just give Garey whatever you want cooking on the fire and while he BBQs we all make salads.

Please note that Cape Town is currently experiencing a water shortage and usage restrictions. This means short showers, turning the tap off when brushing teeth and similar water-saving measures. It is also expected that the City will ban topping up of the swimming pool which may mean it has to close if the level drops.

  • We offer two types of discount: “long stay” and “pro rider/team rider/kite industry”.

  • Discounts only apply in main rooms, not the annex (the best value room in Cape Town anyway!)
  • Long stay discounts do not apply in peak season (peak season nights count towards the stay required but the discount is only applied to mid season and early/late season nights)

Discount amounts:

  • Long stay discount: Stay of 15-20 nights 10%; 21-29 nights: 15%; 30 nights or more: 20%. Stays of up to 14 are not discounted, sorry.
  • Industry discount: Discounts available for team riders and similar – availability and amount varies so please enquire.

Example of a long stay discount spanning more than one season:

  • Total stay is 35 nights (15 in peak season and 20 in mid season);
  • 35 night stay means the discount % is 20%;
  • However the discount is only applied to the 20 nights in mid season, not the nights in peak season.
