Brasil downwinder - Oct 2023
Last year we did our first ever overseas trip taking a group of guests on an epic 14 day downwinder on the northern section of Ceara, Brasil. We plan to go again this year.
This stretch of coast is wilder and less busy than the southern section (Cumbuco, Taiba, Ilha do Guajirou etc.) and we are expertly guided by Ande Pena who knows all the inlets, island and lagoons. Drivers take our stuff along the beach and meet us for lunch and at the end of the day. If you are interested in joining the October 2023 trip send me an email for more details.
The plan is 2 nights in Tatajuba, 2 nights in Barra Grande then 6 days guided downwinder (with drivers taking our luggage), a day in Atins, 2 days crossing the Lencois Marahenses and a day in Santa Amaro.
We finish with a day in Cumbuco before flying home. Here are some photos from last year:

Essential info
Dates: To be confirmed but aiming for depart Europe 8 October and land back in Europe 21/22 October.
Holiday days: 10 days off work / holiday days.
12 days of kiting: 6 days “spot kiting” (2x Tatajuba, 2x Barra Grande, 1x Atins and 1x Cumbuco) and 6 days of downwinders / guided adventuring.
Cost: depends on numbers and dates but assume £4,500 (EUR 5,300) for 1 person or £3,400 (EUR 4,000) per person if two sharing rooms.) This includes accommodation, transfers, the guides, the drivers and food/drink. Not included: flights, extra baggage and insurance.
Exact dates, itinerary and costs to be worked out once I have interest.
Charge: We do this at zero charge (no fees) and zero commission. We organise it just for the fun and share the costs.
